Saying yes is just the start!
If you are looking for a celebration of the love you feel for each other or a special way to celebrate a life just starting or just ended then let me be part of the team that makes it happen. Having a celebrant led ceremony means that the day is totally yours. You can do it your way, say what really matters to you, use readings, poems and blessings, incorporate mini ceremonies and rituals to add another level.
As your celebrant I will write a ceremony that has no limits or rules it is truly unique to you. I love the fact that a celebrant led ceremony means that you can truly make it your own, so if you are looking for something different from the Church service and more personal than a registry office service then you are in the right place.
About me
My name is Caroline Trevers, the Oxfordshire Celebrant, I became a member of the Institute of Professional Celebrants following 40 years in the hospitality industry. I specialised in event catering and events management in the Oxfordshire area working with many couples and families to celebrate weddings, funerals and other family celebrations in many local venues and Oxford Colleges. I am a fully trained Professional Celebrant and carry Public Limited and Indemnity Insurance so you are in a safe pair of hands.
Weddings and Civil Partnerships
Together we will explore what you mean to each other and how you want to express your love for each other on the day. We will plan the whole ceremony together and I will weave all the elements to form a truly unique celebration. My commitment to you is to make it the day you want it to be that truly reflects you and incorporates your beliefs.
I will work with your chosen venue to make sure that everything is just as you want it to be and be on hand to support everyone and help them through keeping nerves at bay to ensure that everyone is relaxed and enjoys the day.
Baby Naming Ceremonies
A beautiful and personal way to welcome your children into the family. The ceremonies can be as simple or as involved as you would like and can take place almost anywhere; this year I have conducted them in village halls, back gardens, hotels and a converted barn! It is lovely to include a mini ritual such as a sand blending ceremony to involve the parents, grandparents, guide parents and other children.
Funerals
"In order to write about life first you must live it."
A well written eulogy will capture the life that has been led and tell the guests all about the life being celebrated. By meeting with the family and friends to find out all about the loved one who has died I can then write a very personal service with readings and music that will really honour the person being mourned. We will talk through the delivery of the service and I will liaise with the Funeral Directors and Chapel Attendants.
Pre-planning
Many people are pre-planning their own funerals which may take away a burden from the family at a very emotional time. A well written service may bring comfort to those nearest and dearest knowing that the details are just right.
Other Rites of Passage
Adoption ceremonies, Vow renewals, Family reunions, Coming of Age, Engagement Ceremonies – all these rites of passage are celebrating love in one form or another. Welcoming a new stage in life deserves a celebration all of its own and can be honoured not only in words but in actions such as planting a tree together, blending together in a sand ceremony or creating a time capsule. These ceremonies have no bounds and can be written to recognise the people and the celebration together with special words woven around them both.
